Illustrated instructions for flue and chimney brickwork installation
1. Insert flue and rest it on the chimney chamber floor.

2. Remove flue after brickwork is finished. Build brickwork minimum two courses up. Use standard house bricks.

3. Tap in lower bricks to form ledge before mortar sets.
4. Once brickwork is set, insert flue pipe then pack in ceramic fibre into the 10mm gap then seal top rim with render and finish with silicone.
5. The chimney brickwork helps cool the hot gases, acting as an exhaust manifold. Without brickwork, the dome and arch will split.
